Mifuko's mission is to bring joy to our customers while improving the welfare of women in the rural areas of Kenya. Mifuko are guided by their core values in everything they do: unique, joyful and socially responsible. Just as every one of their artisans is unique so are the products he or she makes.

The artisans gather the fallen palm leaves from Mkeka, a type of palm tree native to Kenya, and craft them into beautiful, sophisticated baskets.

Our unique, hand-woven Mkeka baskets are made by artisans living among the tree-covered hills of southern Kenya. The safe, joyful craftwork helps families and communities while empowering women and preserving traditional weaving skills.

Each Mifuko product carries the name of its maker.
